Hi All,

What we are doing:

We are now in Lunenburg, NS.

It is a UNESCO designated historical town.  Our campground is right in town and we can walk to everything.  We went to the Fisheries Museum.  We all liked this.  The kids enjoyed the aquarium and the boats very much.  It's possible to walk through a fishing schooner and see where fishermen slept, ate, and processed and salted cod.  There is also much lure and history about shipwrecks, storms, and lost souls.  I looked for names on my Mom's side of the family as she has   relatives who emigrated here from Holland.  I did see a Greek, but not a Griek, my mom's maiden name.

We then took a horse carriage ride through the town and enjoyed the beautiful architecture and our driver who said hello to everyone and seemed to know many people in the town.

Coincidentally, the Amistad, a ship often docked in New Haven CT harbor, is here in Lunenburg.

We are in a beautiful spot again - it's very easy to find them throughout the maritimes.   We are looking down over the bay from where we sit at our campsite.

I'm still so surprised about the beauty and charms of Maritime Canada -  a place I don't here much about in the States.

The kids are fine and adjusting.  Gwen has adjusted very well and is swimming like a fish; wanting to stop at all pools near us for a swim.  Phil is getting there.  He's still a little kid.

Funny things Gwen Says:   "When are we going camping??????"

"When will we be in Florida???????"

Great things about where we are:

Really fresh and good seafood.
It's cool at night.

Not so great:

Sometimes I just miss the States.

Where to next:

Prince Edward Island.  Then West into Quebec.

I'll post again soon.

Regards,  Lisa
